TELL me you don’t know this guy! I know him. I SINCERELY hope I’m not like him. He treats practically everybody as if we were all helpless luddites with which he must reluctantly and painstakingly share his infinite wisdom.
If I ever come off like this guy, please humiliate me immediately (it’s typically not difficult to humiliate computer geeks) so I don’t just go on spreading contempt for IT advice! I wonder if folks who go on about how much they despise helping folks with their computer problems ever wonder why they don’t get much repeat business…
